PENALTIES08/09 Season_____________________________________________________________________
1 penalty = Having to take a provisional start in the next race of that series.2 penalties = Having to sit out the next race in that series. Then all erased.3 penalties = Having to sit out the next 2 races. Then 2 penalties erased.
*** Strikes ***1 incident per self spin ( 3 incidents = having to park car for the night )1 strike for jumping the start. 1 penalty if you cause a wreck doing it.1 strike for chat during qualifying1 strike for passing below the yellow line at Talladega and Daytona to gain a position and loss of position
*** Penalties ***1 penalty = any 3 strikes mentioned above2 penalties for wreckless driving 1 penalty for failure to pit after 3 spin rule3 penalties for flaming (1st offense) 3 penalties for intentional wrecking (1st offense)
*** Points Deductions ***Jummping the start = -10 pointsJumping the start and causing accident = -40 pointsWreckless driving = - 40 pointsFailure to take required provisional start = -20 pointsFailure to retire after 3 incident rule = -20 points and ejection from the raceContact with another driver under caution = -40 pointsFlaming = -50 pointsIntentional Wrecking = -75 points
